  	Mr. Troy Allen Hickox, 68 of Patterson, passed away Monday morning, November 23, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center - Southside. Born in Blackshear, GA on January 3, 1947, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life. Mr. Hickox was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam conflict and was retired from CSX Transportation where he had worked as a machinist. He loved to play the guitar and checkers and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a son of the late Ellis Lonnie & Margaret Dixon Hickox. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Velma Vickers; and two brothers, Harold Hickox and Billy Hickox. Survivors include his wife of 49 ½ years, Bertha Johnson Hickox of Patterson; two daughters, Teresa Hendrix of Hoboken and Brenda Sauls (Nick Johnston) of Blackshear; a son, Robert (Angie) Lane of Jesup; four sisters, Janice (Robert) Dixon, Vonice (Juarez) Strickland, and Patricia (Ronald) Purvis all of Blackshear, and Sharon (Isham) Roberson of Screven; a brother, Donald Hickox of Waycross; 6 grandchildren, Kelly (Cory) Griffin, Leah Hendrix (Ivan Daniels), Britney Sauls (Hank Norman), Ryan Sauls, Kirsten Lane, and Ethan Lane; 5 great grandchildren, Kingsley Norman, Kye Griffin, Elaina Daniels, Zeb Norman, and Deklan Daniels; and several nieces, nephews & other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Hickox will be held at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon, November 28, 2015, at the Pearson-Dial Chapel. Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
