- Genice Morse Wilkinson, 68, of Bardin, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.
Genice was born in Palatka and had been a resident of Bardin for the past 50 years, coming from Inverness. She was a homemaker and a lifelong Missionary Baptist. She loved to fish and enjoyed flower gardening, especially her gardenias and roses, her humming birds, playing guitar, and singing with her family. She especially enjoyed her grandbabies, watching crime television shows, and her two pets, Fat-Boy and Oreo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Ardell and Delia Morse; five brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Pastor Phillip Wilkinson, Sr. of Bardin; three sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Madonna Wilkinson, Stephen Wilkinson, and Darin and Carrie Wilkinson all of Bardin; two daughters, Melissa Wilkinson and Geneva Wilkinson both of Bardin; 16 grandchildren, Phillip A. and Erin Wilkinson, Shawn Wilkinson (Kacey Bishop), Daniel Wilkinson (Megan Mackie) Brittany Wilkinson (Pud Klemons), Madolyn Wilkinson, Dillon Wilkinson, Stephen Wilkinson, Jr., Rebecca Wilkinson, Crystal Wilkinson, Delicka Fowler, Martha Wilkinson, Michael Wilkinson, Levi Wilkinson, Kaylie Lassiter, Patrick Lassiter and Tayler MacClaine Wilkinson; and 11 great-grandchildren, Zoey Wilkinson, Aubree Wilkinson, Camden Wilkinson, Gage Bishop, Kasyn Bishop, Colby Mackie, Emily Mackie Paisley Klemons, Abby Klemons, Za’Rayah Shellmon and Serina Wilkinson. She was also a mother figure to numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1st at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 2nd at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Rev. Alfred Johns, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Etoniah Cemetery in Bardin.
