  	Preston Daniel Johns, 77, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He was born on July 14, 1934 in Clay Hill, FL to parents Alvie and Lucy Johns. He had served his country in the United States Army and had worked at Clay Electric as a tree surgeon and line foreman. He enjoyed gardening and tree work and was a lifelong resident of the area. Dan was a loving husband, father and papa and will be remembered as a kind man. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Harley Walls, grandson, Eric Padgett and 3 sisters, Lula, Callie and Illa. Dan is survived by his wife, Beverly Johns; children, Eddie Johns, Rita James (Randy Rojas), Lisa Boree, Mark Johns, Johnny Walls (Keri) and Nicole Pena (Rick); brothers, Wilbert, Wilson and Herman Johns; sisters, Corine Johns, Aretha Barton and Christine Willis; 8 grandchildren, Jessica, David, Chelsea, Ayden, Ricky, Harley, Stacy and Amy and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, March 16, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Padgett Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home, 501 Spring St., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 (904) 284-4000.
