- Funeral services for George Larry Crawford, age 64 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel and Rev. Kevin Tanner will officiate.
Mr. Crawford was born on February 1, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son of the late Lawrence Crawford. He was a 1970 graduate of Laurens High School and he was retired from the maintenance department at the J. Roy Rowland Federal Courthouse in Dublin. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Bee Club, Irish Reelers Square Dance Club,the River Roots Art Association, and was Past President of the Laurens County Sportsman Club. Mr. Crawford passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Crawford is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Shepherd Crawford of Dublin, his mother, Brunell Thompson Crawford Lackey of Dublin, a son, Jordan Lawrence Crawford of Dublin, a daughter, Macie Faye (Brandon) Crawford Reagin of Rentz, 2 sisters, Glynda Crawford (Charlie) Smith of Savannah, and Denise Crawford (Dennis) Dobbins of Dublin, a grandchild, Kylie Faye Reagin, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Otis Cook, Sam Beall, Al Scoggins, Kevin Livingston, John Robinson, and Ricky Graham.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Crawford to Rock Springs Baptist Church Brotherhood or to Rock Springs Baptist Church at 2075 Rock Springs Road, Dublin, GA 31021.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
