- VIDALIA -- Alex Jackson "Jack" Halligan, 82, died May 30 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County. He retired from Amoco Fabrics in Hazlehurst after more than 20 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II
SURVIVORS: four daughters, Glenda Anne Barwick and Shirley Elaine Halligan, both of Vidalia, Connie Dean Hand of Macon and Nancy Michelle Hall of Atlanta; five sons, Alex Sherman, James Edward, Charles Michael, Carl Hugh and Jack Larry Halligan, all of Vidalia; a sister, Jean Tayloy of Decatur; three brothers, Prince Halligan of Vidalia, Troy Halligan of Savannah and Jim Halligan of Macon; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Murchison Funeral Home, Vidalia.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Murchison Funeral Home, burial in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery near Vidalia.
