- Joel Benjamin “JB” Conner SR, 76, of Hilliard FL went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2013.
JB was born on October 23, 1936 in Hilliard to Fred and Minnie Conner. He proudly served his country in the US Army, retired from the Charlton County Road Department, member of the New Life Baptist Church in St. George, member of the Callahan Chapter Masonic Lodge 32nd Degree, an avid farmer and was a loyal friend to all.
He is survived by his daughter; Joan Conner Batten of Hilliard, son; Joel B. “Buddy” (Jeannie) Conner of Hilliard, grandson; Brandon Conner of Hilliard, granddaughter; Kristie Conner of Hilliard and his sister; Iona Fish of Glen St Mary. He was preceded in death by his wife; Bobbi Knight Conner, father; Fred Conner, mother; Minnie Conner and brother; Donald Conner.
Visitation will be held on November 22, 2013 from 6-8pm at the New Life Baptist Church in St George. Funeral services will be held November 23, 2013 2pm at the New Life Baptist Church in St George with Pastor James Conner and Pastor Richard Fish officiating, burial will follow in Emmus Cemetery in St George GA.
Pallbearers will be WA Fish, Blake Fish, Ronnie McArthur, Charles James Batten, Aaron Fish, Joe Dinner, Ricky Rhoden and Matt Sands. Honorary pallbearers are Cecil Thomas, Herbert Rowe, Gary Johnson and Buddy Hodge.
