He was a native of Brantley County but had resided most of his life in Waycross. He was son of the late Jessie Crews and Lovie Johns Crews. He was retired from B & W Shipyard. The survivors include his wife, Erma Grace King Crews of Waycross; a daughter, Patricia Ann Crews Veasey of Brunswick; a son Perry Russell Crews of Waycross; a sister, Frances Crews King of Brunswick; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Mausoleum. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday night from 7 until 9 o'clock. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
