  	Augusta Chronicle, The (GA) - Saturday, February 17, 2018 Graveside Services for Mrs. Diane Miller Sandy, 61, who entered into rest February 14, 2018, will be conducted Monday morning at 10 o'clock In Sunset Memory Gardens. Rev. Tom Lowry and Rev. Sherrill Dunn officiating. Mrs. Sandy was a native of Belvedere, a former resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, having made North Augusta her home for the past 11 years. She was a 1974 graduate of North Augusta high school. Mrs. Sandy was the owner of Sandy Family Day Care in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL where she positively impacted many children and families often being referred to as a "second mom." She was an outgoing, friendly person who was loved by all. Mrs. Sandy enjoyed working with her husband in their music business "Saxzy DJ," playing weekly at the local American Legion, nursing homes and various other events. She was a marvelous cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents George H. Miller, Jr., and Bertha Turner Miller. Survivors include her husband of 30 plus years, Frank Sandy; two daughters, Christine Sandy (Carl Wamsley), Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Jodi Battle-Foss (Mike Foss), Edgefield, SC; a step-son, Lloyd Sandy, III (Jenny); a twin sister, Deborah Ferguson (Danny), Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, Michael Foss, Jr., Zachary Foss and Calli Foss; two step-grandchildren, Sarah Washington and Dylan Sandy. Pallbearers will be Mike Foss, Carl Wamsley, Jonathan Ferguson, Lloyd Sandy, Jr., Hal Tate and Jason Oerman. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
