Mr. Cason was born Dec. 22, 1942, in Hoboken, Ga., to Alred "Gibbs" Cason and Vilee Hickox. He is survived by his wife, Debra Cason; children Ted Caffey, Kaye Cason, Kim Gibson and Tanya Cason; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Cason.
