- Emery Albert Kirkland, age 82, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 21, 2006. Emery was born in Macclenny, Florida on September 30, 1924 to the late Albert and Eula Thomas Kirkland. He has lived in Baker County all of his life. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in World War II. Mr. Kirkland worked as an engineer for the Department of Transportation for 38 years. He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers; James Wilbur Kirkland and George Elias Kirkland.
Family members include his loving wife of 52 years; Annie Lou Revels Kirkland of Glen St. Mary, FL; three children; Bruce (Nancy) Kirkland and Rhonda (Rodney) Page both of Glen St. Mary, FL and Kent (Jacki) Kirkland of Macclenny, FL; seven grandchildren; Camber, Tyler and Trent Page, Jason and Jack Kirkland, and Devon (Greg) Burnsed and Jennifer Bender; two great grandchildren; Brooke and Jaxon Burnsed; three sisters; Anna M. (Earl) Waters, Myra Carter and Clarice McGregor and special nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Elder Scott Hinson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Ferreira Chapel. Pallbearers: Ronnie Johns, John H. Johns, Earl Waters, Jr., David Hand, David Davis, Keith Davis, Ron Vonk, Oliver Hedge, and Ronnie Kelly. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES 250 N.
