Deceased Name: Keith C. Salisbury
Keith C. Salisbury, age 76, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills.
He was born Dec. 11, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant the son of Maynard S. and Bernita (McVey) Salisbury.
Keith served three years in the United States Air Force, and retired from Dow Chemical after 30 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin and a member of the K of C 5280.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Richard Ford, Doug Hirst, Robert Hirst and Bud Hirst.
He is survived by his wife, Susanne Salisbury of Gladwin; five children, Stephen and Vicky Salisbury of Auburn, Alabama, Martin and Andrea Salisbury of Mt. Pleasant, David and Dawn Salisbury of Mt. Pleasant, Amy and Don Martin of Shepherd, and Christopher and Elyse Salisbury of Laguna Hill, California; six step-children, Timothy Burnash of Louisville, Kentucky, Cheri Steinkraus of Davison, Mark and Ann Burnash of St. Johns, Joseph and Linda Burnash of Enterprise, Alabama, Camille and John Kowalczyk of Lincoln Park, and Matthew and Kathy Burnash of Redford. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Salisbury and Maynard Salisbury both of Columbia, South Carolina; and a sister, Evelyn (Roy) Martin of Cottage Grove, Oregon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass of celebration will be recited on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin, with Rev. Fr. John Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 from 2-8 p.m. at the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin, with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
The family ask that memorial contributions be made in memory of Keith to the Misericordia in Chicago, Hospice of Gladwin, or the American Heart Association.
Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
