- James “Jimmy” Ronald Cowart, 72, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 25 at 2 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Rayford Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday, August 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jimmy was born in Macon to the late Albert and Ester Wilkes Cowart. He was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Cowart. Jimmy was a member of the Moose Club and the Boiler Makers Union. He was the owner of the Iron Shop.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Isabel Kent Cowart; children, Rhonda Williams, Steven Morgan, Crystal Whitley, Jaime Cowart Robichaux (Matt) and Shelley Tanner; ten grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
