- Mr. Michael Anthony Purvis, 54, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Mr. Purvis was an excellent lawn mower mechanic and loved working on machinery.
He was predeceased by his father, Dan Purvis.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Powell Purvis of Ellabell; three brothers, Danny (Faye) Purvis, Tommy (Sandra) Purvis, both of Ellabell, and Randy (Sandra) Purvis of Groveland; five sisters, Barbara Faye Sanders of Bulloch County, Lisa Vincent of Ellabell, Danelle Brinson and Pat Walls, both of Cobbtown, and Judy Bacon of Pembroke; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, with the Rev. Harold O'Neal officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
