- Walter Randolph “Randy “ Hatch, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 11. Randy leaves a legacy of wonderful experiences and loving family memories.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Glenda Crews Hatch, his children, Ryan Hatch (Hillary), John “Jay” Hatch and Heather Hatch McInnis (Joshua), and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Sandra Anusavice (Ken), Sharon Mitchell and Joel Hatch (Cynthia), and many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. Very close to his heart are Robert and Carol Harmon, his brother and sister in-law. A host of friends are also among those who will miss Randy.
Randy spent much of his life working to help his father, uncle and cousins build a successful business. He served as County Commissioner for Suwannee County for eight years, and in leadership positions on several local, regional and state-wide boards and committees. Randy loved serving his community and helping others whenever a need was made known to him. He enjoyed participating in the political process and assisted in the formation of legislation benefitting agriculture and small counties. He loved to solve problems, tell stories, and make people laugh. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and particularly his grandchildren, who were the lights of his life.
He will be deeply missed.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Daniels Funeral Home in Branford, FL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 16th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Daniels Funeral Home, 408 Northwest Suwanee Avenue, Branford, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17th at Living Springs Family Worship Center, 26471 State Road 247, Branford, Florida. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to The Randy Hatch Memorial Scholarship Fund at Capital City Bank, 814 Suwannee Avenue, Branford, FL 32008 for the benefit of his grandchildren.
