He was 50. Mr. Gillen was born in Lake City and also lived in Gainesville. He graduated from Gainesville High School and was a truck driver for Terry Dicks Trucking. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of Advent Christian Church in Lulu. Mr. Gillen was preceded in death by a brother, Darryl Gillen. Survivors include daughters Shanna Marie Gillen of Lulu and Sarah Ruth Gillen of Calloway; sons Chris Gillen of Warner Robins, Ga., and Brian Clark Gillen of Lulu; parents Roland C. Gillen Sr. and Betty Williams Gillen of Lulu; sister Jessica Huffman of Lulu; brothers Geoffrey Gillen of LaCrosse and Wendell Gillen of Alachua; and two grandchildren.
