Vivian Mae Wilkes Beamon, 72, of Sanford died Saturday, January 21, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Beamon was born in Wake County on April 19, 1939, to the late Leroy Wilkes and Lilla Wester Wilkes. In addition, she was preceded in death by a very special companion, Robert Sanderlin; her husband, Larry Beamon; brothers, Alfonzso Wilkes, Leon Wilkes, Paul Wilkes, Glennwood Wilkes and Willie Wilkes.
Surviving relatives include daughters, Cindy Rice and husband Greg of Knightdale and Sharon O’Neil and husband Vernon of Hawaii; a brother, Odell Wilkes of Spring Lake; three grandchildren, David, Jonathan and Andrew O’Neill and loving pets, Sam, Simon and Lorene.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Sat., Jan. 28, 2012, at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. The funeral will be held following the visitation at 2 PM with Rev. Keith Miller presiding. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
