  	Mattie Atha Wilkes Norris, 83 of Folkston passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 in Bayview Nursing Home, Nahunta, Georgia. She was born February 13, 1928 in Lyons County, Georgia to Austin L. and Effie Geneva Weathers Wilkes and had been a resident of Charlton County since 1948. She was a loving, devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and will be greatly missed. Ada was a member of the Folkston United Methodist Church. Survivors: Son: Larry(Barbara) Norris of Nahunta; Daughter: Genny(Glenn) Gowen of Folkston; Grandchildren: Rod, Ronda, Ronita, Jessica, Caitlin, Holly; Great-grandchildren: Isaac Lloyd, Brandon Lloyd, Dustin Lloyd, Myra Lloyd, Maria Norris, John Norris, Seth Norris, Dillon Norris, Tora Anderson, Taylor Dawson, Heather Dawson, Ashley Dawson, Ashley Rowan and Aiden Rowan; one sister: Linda (Charlie) Oswald of Columbia, S.C.; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband: john Earl Norris and a brother; Hansel G. Wilkes. The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2011 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Folkston United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Willette and Rev. David Unkles officiating. Burial will follow in Traders Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed by signing the guest register at www.shepardfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home, Folkston, Georgia.
