- Mr. Justin Andrew Wilkes, age 29 of Ailey died Sunday, November 18, 2012.
Mr. Wilkes was born in Toombs County and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby Gillis and Lee Otis Wilkes, Sr. and David Louis Hinton and his father, William Larry Wilkes. He was a Rail Grinder with Loram Maintenance of Way, Hamel, Minnesota.
Survivors include his mother, Jan Hinton Wilkes, Ailey; brothers, Jody Everett Wilkes (Jennifer Angel Moore), Glennville, Larry Aaron "Bo" Wilkes (Ann Woods), Ailey; sister, Mandy (Clay) Braswell, Mt. Vernon; grandmother, DeAvis Blaxton Williamson, Vidalia; and nieces and nephews, Logan Chaz Wilkes, Luke Michael Wilkes, Emily Alexis Wilkes, Laci Aaron Wilkes, Jaiden Alexis Collier, Tylor Cartrette, Trevor Cartrette, and Triston Braswell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery, Mt. Vernon.
Pallbearers will be Greer Smith, Brent Coleman, Jordan Fennell, Duncan Cannon, Chris Phillips, Ashley Pollett, and Alan Tapley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8.
