Born December 30, 1911, she was the daughter of Rudy and Ella Collins Williams of Cobbtown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Oscar Underwood Branch. She was a member of Connors Baptist Church, Cobbtown, where she served for many years as Adult Sunday School teacher and pianist. Mrs. Branch is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Roger Gary Branch, Sr. (Annette), Statesboro, and James Ray "Jimmy" Branch (Nan), Lyons; seven grandchildren, Dr's. R. Gary Branch, Jr., (Carla), Elizabeth Annette Branch, Statesboro, John Drewry Branch (Katherine), Warner Robins, Amy Michele Branch Coley (Will), Savannah, James Mark Branch (Erica), Savannah; six great-grandchildren, Heidi Nicole Howard, Atlanta, Sean David Barron, Julia Katherine Branch and Claire Elizabeth Branch, Statesboro, Cris Creech (Dale), Collins, Jennifer Bowen, Cobbtown; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty Williams Sikes (Earl), Cobbtown, and by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral service for Mrs. Branch will be held Friday, July 8, 2005 at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Jones-Stewart Funeral Home, Lyons with Dr. Roger G. Branch officiating. Burial will be in the Wilkes-Branch Cemetery, Lyons. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Gary Branch, John Branch, Jamie Branch, Will Coley, Gerald Howard and Sean Barron. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrance be made to Candler County Hospital, Metter, GA. 30439.
