Deceased Name: Howard M. Chesnutt
MACON - Howard M. Chesnutt, 83, died Macon died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1P.M. Tuesday at Northminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jarred Hammet officiating. Interment will follow at 3P.M. in Westview Cemetery, Milledgeville.
Mr. Chesnutt was born in Moultrie the son of the late Dr. Thomas Henry and Chrissy Boney Chesnutt. He was a graduate of the John Marshall Law School and retired from the Travelers Insurance Company. Mr. Chesnutt was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and a former member of Noon Day Optimist Club. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of World War II. He volunteered for the American Red Cross and for the Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed playing the violin.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Moore Chesnutt of Macon; one daughter, Peggy C. Daniel of Macon; one son, Jerry Chesnutt of Tallahassee, FL; five grandchildren, Jessica Schnee, Moriah Daniel, Noah Daniel, Mackenzie Chesnutt and Ellie Chesnutt; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Schnee; one bother, John Calvin Chesnutt of Montreat, NC.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
