DUNDEE -- Mrs. Dorothy Lee Dicks of Dundee died of cancer Saturday (Oct. 2, 2004). She was 84.
Born April 16, 1920, in Alachua, she came to Haines City from Alachua 60 years ago. She was a homemaker and a sectionizer for Bordos Citrus Plant in Eagle Lake for 10 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Haines City.
Mrs. Dicks was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, J.D. Dicks. She is survived by her daughters, Josie Lee Parker Vickery, Mobile, Ala., Nancy Marie Seegraves, Fort White, Mary E. "Libby" Brunson, Lake Hamilton; brother, Getzen Cox; sisters, Mary Woods, Mildred Vinzant, Eva Presley Ergle, Della Cox; 17 grandchildren; and 19 greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held this afternoon from 2 to 3 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, Haines City. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, NCICFUL, P.O. Box, 102454, Atlanta, Ga., 30368-2454.
