Box 37, Patrick, SC 29584. Mrs. Wilkes, wife of the late Paul L. Wilkes, died January 7, 2000. Born in Patrick, she was a daughter of the late Solomon and Flora Sellers Wilkes. She was a homemaker and a member of Patrick Presbyterian Church, where she served as former Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, president of Women of the Church, and was church historian for 30 years. Surviving are her sons, William Wilkes and wife, Geraldine, of Patrick, Charles Wilkes and wife, Nancy, of Turbeville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
