Mrs. Renita Lynn Bailey Wilkes, 57, widow of Kenny Wilkes, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, in Williamsburg Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Wilkes was born January 2, 1955, in Shelby, NC, a daughter of Melvin M. “Bo” Bailey and the late Doris Mae Morgan Bailey. Renita was a graduate of Kingstree Senior High School and was retired from Security Finance in Lake City. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr., cross stitching, and she was an avid Facebook member.
Surviving, in addition to her father, of Kingstree are: 2 sisters, Donna B. (Stanley) Scott, of Lake City and Charlene B. (James) Weaver, of Scranton; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, September 21, 2012, in Second Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 to 1:45 PM before the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 20 Dennis Avenue, Kingstree, SC 29556.
