  Michael Wilkes LANCASTER - Mr. Michael Dwayne Wilkes, 46, of 1122 West Meadow Drive, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, S.C. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Barron Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sam Thomason officiating. Interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wilkes was born Oct. 26, 1961, in York, S.C., the son of Patricia Henderson Wilkes and the late Harold W. Wilkes. He attended the schools of Lancaster County and also York Technical College and was currently employed with Westinghouse Welding and Machining. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his mother, Patricia Henderson Wilkes and several uncles, aunts and cousins. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
