Jo50), dozen collar buttons ($.05), one tie ($.20), pair cuff buttons ($.20), pair comfort ($1.00). C.B. McLeod, Guardian (of 2 minor children of Jordan Wilkes), paid for the items he purchased on 10/30/1897. Rather interesting- In a receipt dated 8/2/1897, paid for by C.B. McLeod, (Dr.) J.A. Mosley was paid for care given to Jordan Wilkes or his family in amounts of: $15.30, in B(eef) (35 lbs X 5) $1.75, in Beef (61 lbs X 5) $3.95, $1.00, in B(eef) (102 lbs X 5) $5.10, and $1.00. August - September 1897 Dr. Joseph A. Mosley took care of Jordan Wilkes for (his last sickness) 36 days prior to his death at $1.50 per day or $54.00. I don't know where Jordan R. Wilkes or his wife Elizabeth are buried, maybe in this same cemetery, the one we call the Sandy or Alexander Wilkes Cemetery, which is also called other names.
