MILTON Frank J. Milton, age 81, passed away Friday, April 7, 2006. He was born July 28, 1924 in Genoa, Hamilton County, Florida and had lived in Orange Park for 5 years.
Mr. Milton served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Mullany, served on the mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southern States, he served as Branch President in Madison, Fl. Bishop in Lakeland, Fl. and Jacksonville, Fl. He also worked in the Atlanta and Orlando Temples of the church as a sealer. He was employed for 37 years and retired from CSX Railroad.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Vela McDaniel Milton, son: Frank Milton (Tracy); daughter: LaVaun Berry (Dennis), 6 grandchildren: Jimmy Milton, Suzie Waters, Kelley Hardin, Sandi Wilbourn, Alex Milton and Sheldon Milton; 8 great-grandchildren: Scott, Lucy, Valarie Milton, Shelby Waters, , Kendall Hardin, Emily Wilbourn, Porter Wilbourn and Keegan Wilbourn, and brother: Clifton (Betty).
Funeral service will be held Monday , April 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Brother Dennis Berry officiating.
The family will receive friends TODAY from 5 to 7 PM at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

MILTON Vela McDaniel Milton, age 88, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010.
She was born October 5, 1921, in Lee, Madison County, Florida, had lived in Orange Park for 7 years and was currently residing in Deland, FL.
Mrs. Milton was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in the Southern States Mission. She had served as a temple worker in the Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida Temples.
Mrs. Milton was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lady of great faith and her family is the true love of her life.
She was predeceased in death by her husband of 60 years, Frank J. Milton. She is survived by her son: Frank J. Milton, Jr. (Tracy); daughter: LaVaun Berry (Dennis), 6 grandchildren: Jimmy Milton, Suzie Reynolds, Kelley Milton, Sandi Wilbourn, Alex Milton and Sheldon Milton; 9 great grandchildren: Scott, Lucy, Valarie and Joseph Milton, Shelby Waters, Kendall Hardin, Emily, Porter and Keegan Wilbourn.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 461 Blanding Boulevard.
The family will receive friends Thursday, prior to the service, May 13, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the church.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
