Mary Vi Greene, age 64, of lake City, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, November 14, 2017 at the Haven Hospive Suwannee valley care Center after an extended illness. She was born in Lake City to the late John Monroe and Bonnie Faye (Christie) Guthrie on August 1, 1953. She was a life-long resident of Lake City and a school bus driver for the Columbia County School District for over twenty years. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, riding her motorcycle and shopping. She was a member of the Church of God in Lake City.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Danny S. Greene; a daughter, Janine Greene McSpadden (Richard) of Lake Butler; a son, Abel Greene (Brenda) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Taylor and Matthew McSpadden both of Lake Butler; three sisters, Janive Braddy (Jim), Susan Cason and Freida Andrews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Corinth Cemetery with Darrell Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive other family and friends one hour prior to the service. Gateway Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
