LAKE BUTLER - Charlie F. Roberts of Lake Butler died Wednesday morning in the Brookwood Nursing Center in Starke after a long illness. He was 81.
He was a lifelong resident of Union County and was a retired correctional officer from Florida State Prison.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Lake Butler.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Maggie Roberts of Lake Butler.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra R. Wade of Lake Butler; a son, Hugh W. Roberts of Lake Butler; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
