MILTON Mrs. Lois Lee Milton, age 81 of Glen St. Mary, Fl. died Tuesday March 6, 2007 in Frank Wells Nursing Home.
She was born on March 12, 1925 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Hartford Richardson and Hattie Poe Thomason Barnes. She moved to Macclenny in 1947 when she met her late husband of 38 years John Edward Milton, Sr.
She was a homemaker and took art classes from Gene Barber for 15 years. She was a seamstress, caterer and was one of the county's most sought after wedding cake decorators. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary, Fl.
Family members include her children; Joyce Riffe (Clark) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl., Theresa Ferry (Dicky) of Macclenny, FL., Paula Nettles (Jerry) of Lake City, Fl. and John E. Milton, Jr. (Dayle) of Glen St. Mary, Fl. grandchildren; Karen McCollum, Richard Ferry, LeAnn Davis, Madeline Nettles, AnnaDayle Milton, John G. Milton, John D. Milton and John W. Milton; great grandchildren; Noah and Grayson McCollum, Peyton and Parker Ferry.
Funeral services will be held on Friday March 9, 2007 in Raiford Road Church at 2:00 pm with Pastor John A. Raulerson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Baker County, Fl.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm (TODAY) in the FERREIRA CHAPEL.
