    In the name of God Amen
    I Charity Caison of the County of Sampson and state of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory ... on this first day of January one thousand eight hundred and eight do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say first and ... to my son-in- law Jonathan Fryer five shillings to him and his heirs.
    Item I give and bequeath to my son Hillery Cason five shillings to him and his heirs

    Item I give and bequeath to my son Miles Cason five shillings to him and his heirs

Deed mentions Dave Chesnutt, 'a little branch,' and Reedy Branch. Land was part of a tract of 540 acres granted to Alexander Chesnutt by patent dated 30 March 1756."

    !Descendants: According to E. L. (Boe) Williams, a Caison genealogist, William Caison had several sons: John, who moved to Brunswick Co; Hillery, who remained in Sampson Co; and Cannon who married Charity Hollingsworth and died in the Revolutionary War. !Spouse: Boe Williams suggests the William Caison may have married twice, since his family was closely connected to the Chesnutt family. (See the deed from Alexander and Sarah Chesnutt to William Caison.
