    Mrs. Phyllis Angelyn Cribb, 67, died Friday evening (July 3, 2009) at her residence after a brief illness.

    She was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. She was a devoted and loving homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church.

    She is the daughter of the late James Thomas (J.T.) Beverly and Lollie Mae Joyner Beverly. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Phillip Cribb; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam O. Cribb and Lucille Mullis Cribb.

    Survivors include her daughter, Dana Lollie Dixon (husband Mark) of Blackshear; two sisters, Annette Clark (husband J.L.) of Marianna, FL, and Carolyn Gibson (husband John) of Waycross; three grandchildren, Rodney Dustin Kinnon, Haley Alexis Dixon, and Ayrin Bradi Dixon; one sister-in-law, Mary Anne Belisario (husband Hulett) of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

    A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday (July 5, 2009) at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Music Funeral Home.

    The family will also be gathering at the home of her sister, Carolyn Gibson, 2525 Dorothy St., Waycross, GA.

    Mr. James Thomas "J.T." Beverly, 81, of 826 Winona Avenue in Waycross, died Wednesday night at Baptist Village Nursing Facility in Waycross following a long illness.

    He was born in Argyle, Clinch County, Georgia but attended Waycross-Ware County public schools and resided here almost his entire life. His parents were Forest J. "Jep" and Margaret Inez (Robinson) Beverly.

    He was employed for several years with the Atlanta Gas Light Company before being hired, just before World War II, as a trainman with the Atlantic Coastline Railroad. He served during the war as a machinist's mate 3rd class in the U.S. Navy.

    After the war, he returned to work with the railroad, continuing his service with the Seaboard and CSX railroad companies and retiring 37 years later as a conductor.

    During his many active years of retirement, he was a member of the Silverhead Motor Home Camping Club and traveled all of the United States. He was also very interested in genealogy and read extensively about the history and background of his family.

    He was a member of the Winona Park United Methodist Church, the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, and the Retired Engineers,Conductors and Crafts breakfast club.

    The survivors include his wife of 59 years, Lollie Mae (Joyner) Beverly, of Waycross; three daughters, Mrs. J.L. Clark

    (Margaret Annette) of Marianna, Florida and Mrs. Phillip Cribb (Phyllis Angelyn) and Mrs. John D, Gibson (Carolyn) both of Waycross; a brother the Reverend F.J. Beverly Jr., Waycross; five sisters, Sarah (Beverly) Mincey, Virginia (Beverly) Roberson, Betty Jo (Beverly) Gibbs and Barbara (Beverly) Boyett, all of Waycross and Nell (Beverly) Clark of Blackshear; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

    The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Music Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 o'clock at the funeral home.

    The grandchildren are: John Christopher Clark, Jay Patrick Clark, Jill (Clark) Shuler, Penny Annette (Clark) Allhallaseh, Thomas Gibson, Amanda Gibson, Benjamin Gibson, Dana (Cribb) Dixon.

    Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Waycross, Ware County, Georgia.

    Mrs. Lollie Mae Joyner Beverly, 84, died Wednesday (April 12, 2006) at Baptist Village after a lengthy illness.

    She was native of Hortense but has resided most of her life in Waycross. She was the wife of the late James Thomas “J.T.” Beverly for 59 years. She was the daughter of the late Tollie Thomas Joyner and Aleen Davis Joyner. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Phillip Cribb and three sisters and four brothers.

    She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Winona Park United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Fidelia Sunday Sunday School Class.

    She was a beloved mother and grandmother to three daughters, Annette Clark (husband J.L. ) of Marianna, FL, Angelyn Cribb of Waycross and Carolyn Gibson (husband John) both of Waycross; eight grandchildren, Chris Clark (wife Linda) of Grovetown, Jill Shuler (husband Sammy) of Bristol, FL, Jay Clark (wife Tiffany) of Marianna, FL, Penny Alhalaseh (husband Younis) of Bristol, FL, Dana Dixon (husband Mark) of Blackshear, Amanda Swenson (husband Todd) of Visalia, CA, Thomas Gibson of Athens and Ben Gibson of Waycross; fifteen great grandchildren.

    A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday (April 15, 2006) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
