    Rosette Waldron Keen, 99, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening May 7, 2015 at the Health Center of Lake City after an extended illness.

    She was born in Columbia County on February 22, 1916 to the late Gilford Waldron and Viola Crews Waldron. She has been a lifelong resident of Lake City and was a homemaker. She loved to cook and go fishing; she was also known to always have an open home to anyone. She was a member of Christ Central Ministries here in Lake City. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Byron Keen and a grandson: Criss Keen.

    She is survived by her sons: Edward Keen; Wayne (Sandra) Keen, and Shelton Keen all of Lake City; daughters: Dorothy Christie, Byronelle Witt and Voncile (Morrison) Hale all of Lake City; sister: Jewel Silcox of Jacksonville; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Keen will be conducted on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Christ Central Ministries Church with Pastor Lonnie Johns officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday evening from 5P.M. until 7P.M. at Christ Central Ministries Church. Interment will follow at Scott Cemetery.     Alice Louise Crews

    Ms. Alice Louise Crews, 93, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, February 6, 2017, at the Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness.

    She was born in Lake City, Florida on December 18, 1923 to the late Drew and Mary Jones Dicks. She started out working for the State Exchange Bank in Lake City and retired from Bank of America in the late 1980's, she was a member of the Southside Baptist Church and was one of the founding members of the Columbia County Riding Club. In her spare time she loved to garden and ride horses; she was a member of Altrusa and a past member of the Eastern Star.

    She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 plus years: William L. "Cotton" Crews; great-grandson: Gabriel Cepeda; brother: Ned Dicks and sisters: Elsie Mae Dicks, Tercie Witt, Lola Mae Coleman and son-in-law: Don McDavid, Sr.

    She is survived by her loving children: Sherry McDavid of Brooker, Jackie (Aline) Crews of Lake City, Louise (Rev. Ivan) Clements of Lake City, Barbara Crews O'steen (Doc Bloodworth) of Lake City and Vernon Crews of Lake City; brothers: Roosevelt (JoAnn) Dicks of Lake City, Archie (Valerie) of England and Wayne Dicks of Lake City; sisters: Gay Roberts of Lake City and Quinn Boone of Lake City. Grandchildren: Denise (Robin) Pearce, Donna (Ray) McDavid and Don (Jodi Salerno) McDavid, Jr; and great-grandchildren: Dwayne Pearce, Austin Pearce, Ashley Pearce, Tyler McDavid, Lauren Jones, Jalyssa Cepeda and Isaiah Cepeda along with special friend: P.D. Cason also survive.

    Funeral Services for Ms. Crews will be conducted on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10 A.M. in the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Ivan Clements officiating.

    Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

    Visitation with the family will be on Friday evening, February 10, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations please be made to Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice, 6037 W US Highway 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
