Dorothy Jean McCoy Brown, 78, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
She was born December 15, 1937 in Vidalia, GA. Dorothy will be remembered for her tremendous faith in God and her card-writing ministry.
She was predeceased by her faithful husband of 50 years, James Ernest Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Brown Sawyer (Joshua); son, Stephen J. Brown (Connie); grandchildren, Matt, Tonya, Kelly, Robbie and Jamie; several great-grandchildren; numerous other extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10 at 1pm at Duval Station Baptist Church, where Dorothy was a previous member, 13734 Lyle Road 32218, with Brother Steve McCoy officiating.
Interment will follow in Ferreira cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 12pm at the church. Services are under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 714-1110.
