He is survived by his wife, Vada; daughter Debra Chamblee (Jimmy); son, James D. McCarty, Jr. (Marjorie); grandchildren, Luther Aaron and Eric Chamblee, Allison Rogers, Morgan and Kyle McCarty; great-grandchildren, Evan and Brooklyn Davis, Braxton Garcia and Elijah Chamblee; brothers, David, Carleton and Timothy McCarty; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Red Hill Baptist Church in Springville from 1-2 PM with graveside services following at 2.
