Funeral services for Condra Griffin Hodges, 71, will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Longbranch Baptist Church near Maxville, with the Rev. Edward Harvey and the Rev. James Strickland officiating.

Burial will be in Longbranch Cemetery.

Mr. Hodges of 418 Leland St, died Thursday at a local hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Georgia and had lived here 50 years. He was a Baptist and a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora Hodges of Jacksonville; a daughter, Mrs. Arrie Bell Hester of Shreveport, La.; three sons, Elmer Hodges of Jacksonville and Andrew and J. C. Hodges of Ocala; a brother, the Rev. A. W. Hodges of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Elijah "Lige" Petty--age about 60, a lifelong citizen of Charlton County, passed away at his home Thursday following a heart attack. He was a retired employee of the ACL Railroad and had been in declining health for the past several years. He served for more than 30 years in the maintenance department of the railroad before being forced to retire on account of bad health. His home is reported to have been damaged by fire Wednesday and it is thought that the attending excitement brought on the fatal heart attack. Besides his wife, he is survived by several sons and daughters.
