Died:
Mr. Willard E. Burnsed, age 46, of Fernandina Beach, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.

A native and lifelong resident of Fernandina Beach, he was the youngest of three children born on July 27, 1967 to the late Willard Wayne and Florence Faye Rewis Burnsed.

After graduating from Fernandina Beach High School, he worked in Residential Construction, Shrimping and as a Millwright. Mr. Burnsed was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing the waters of Nassau County and times hunting in the woods with his father at Lofton Pasture and in South Carolina. He was Baptist by faith.

Mr. Burnsed leaves behind his daughter, Tara Burnsed of California, a sister, Donna Altman Bishop (Raymond) of Fernandina Beach, FL, a brother, Robert McKenzie (Bonnie), Fernandina Beach, FL, three nephews and a niece, David Altman, Victoria Altman, Colin Graves and Kyle Milligan as well as a great nephew and a great niece, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm on March 7, 2014 (TODAY) at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard Funeral Home with Reverend Jackie Hayes and Tyson Lee, officiating.

Mr. Burnsed will be laid to rest beside his parents in North Prong Cemetery, Macclenny, FL.
