Clara McRae, 92, entered her eternal rest March 6, 2011. She was born in Lakeland, Florida in 1919.

Clara was the widow of Wiley J. (Dub) McRae, her beloved husband of more than 50 years. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her mother, Maude Osborne, her father, Stephen Owens and her brother, Jimmie M. Owens.

Clara enjoyed working with her hands and will be remembered for the many beautiful items she handcrafted. With her talent and love of flowers, she became the manger of the floral department of the National Merchandise Company for over 25 years. She had been an active member of the Lake Shore Presbyterian Church. She was also a lifetime member of the Jacksonville Garden Club. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Duane Oden of Savannah, Ga. and husband, Lewis; Jacquelyn Williams of Middleburg, Fl. and husband Kenneth; grandchildren Michael Oden of Savannah and Corey Allen of Jacksonville; great-grandchildren Christopher and Wiley Oden; Michael and Autumn Cantaline; Marin Allen. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Smallwood and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM.

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude F. Osborne will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Kyle-McClellan, 17 West Union Street, the Rev. Joe Tate officiating.

Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.

Mrs. Osborne was a member of the Springfield Advent Christian Church.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. V.E. Smallwood Jr., Mrs. W.J. McRea and a son, Mr. Jimmy E. Owens, all of Jacksonville, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
