    Daisy (Ducky) Cason Douberly died peacefully at her home in Macclenny, Florida on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the age of 99.

    She was the 14th child born to the late Thad and Georgia Cason of Ft. White, Fl on August 18, 1911. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Lawrence Douberly (1987), 13 siblings and their spouses.

    She is survived by three daughters: Jacqueline Harris of Gainesville, FL., Jean (Bobby) Sapp, and Venita Milton of Macclenny, FL. Nine grandchildren: Sandra (Steve) Rhoden, Ronnie (Mary) Sapp, Lynn (Tom) Quinlan, Larry (Pamela) Harris, Melody (Doug) Coggin, Donnie (Donna) Sapp, Brenda (Mike) Davis, Jay Milton, and Holly (Mark) Lee; 16 great grandchildren; 10 great, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

    She loved all her family dearly.

    She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Macclenny, FL. She was a remarkable Christian Lady who loved the Lord. She loved to embroidery and loved to cook. She was famous for her homemade biscuits and fried chicken. The first thing she would ask anyone who would visit her was "have you eaten?"

    Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Guerry Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. O.E. Boals and Bro. James Scott officiating. The viewing will be 1 hr. prior to the services. The burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 8190, Lakeland, FL 33802 in loving memory of Daisy Douberly.
