Mr. Robert Lanier McCranie of Lakeland died of lung failure Monday (April 14, 2003) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 69.
Born in Norman Park, Ga., on March 23, 1934, he came to Lakeland from Adel, Ga., in 1958. He was a computer engineer for GTE. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Lake Gibson Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. McCranie was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara McCranie.
He is survived by his second wife, JoAnn W. McCranie; daughters, Debra Morisako, Sheri Turner, both of Lakeland; sisters, Carolyn Lingold, Meridian, Miss., Shirley Lindesy, Valdosta, Ga.; brother, Terry Shaw McCranie, Adel, Ga.; six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Heath Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
