Mr. Ronald “Ron” Eugene Markham 51, passed away Monday August 24, 2015 at his residence.

He was the son of the late W.V. “Dub” Markham.

He is preceded in death by one brother Scotty Markham.

He was a lifelong resident of Lake City, and a member of The First Advent Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching and attending the Jacksonville Jaguar football games, and working in the yard.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-seven years of marriage Jennifer Markham, Lake City, FL; one son Samuel W. “Wes” Markham, Lake City, FL; his mother Martha Jean Markham Lake City, FL; one brother Bobby Markham, Mulberry, FL; one sister Cheryl Markham Willis (Frank) Beaufort, NC. And a host of nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Ron will be held on Friday August 28, 2015 at the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Fred Gaylard officiating. Interment will take place at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday August 27, 2015 at the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

In Lieu of flowers family ask donations to be made to the First Advent Christian Church, 1881 Southwest McFarlane Avenue, Lake City, FL. 32025.

W.V. "Dub" Markham, 79, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away Saturday August 5, 2006 at his residence after an extended illness.

Mr. Markham was the son of the late Victor Hugo and Myrtice Douberly Markham.

He was preceded in death by his son Scott Kimble Markham.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the army. He was employed with Rountree-Moore Ford as a car salesman for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Martha Jean Markham, daughter Cheryl Sue (Frank) Willis, two sons Robert Victor (Jacqueline) Markham, and Ronald Eugene (Jennifer) Markham. Four grandchildren, Richard Willis, Troy Markham, Randall Markham and Wesley Markham. Four Great Grandchildren, Scott Willis, Blayne Markham, Haidyn Markham, Marina Markham.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Markham will be held Wednesday August 9, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bethel Cemetery with Rev. LEon McElhaney, officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home,

Mrs. Martha Jean Markham, 88, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, September 30, 2015 at the Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice with her family by her side. She was born in Lake City, FL on December 19, 1926 to the late J.R. “Bob” Rosier and Grace Ogden Rosier. She has been a lifelong resident of Lake City and was a faithful and lifelong member of the First Advent Christian Church here in Lake City. In her early years she was employed with the Lake Theatre in Lake City, Haverty Furniture Company in Jacksonville and the Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Daytona Beach. She was employed for many years with the Columbia County School Board and with the Lake City Jr. College & Forest Ranger School in Lake City until her retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and most of all friend. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years: W.V. “Dub” Markham; her two sons: Scott “Scotty” Markham and Ronald “Ron” Markham; and her brother: Robert “Billy” Rosier.

She is survived by her loving daughter: Cheryl Markham Willis (Frank) of Lake City and Beaufort, NC; special daughter-in-law and grandson: Jennifer Markham and Samuel W. “Wes” Markham of Lake City; son: Robert V. “Bobby” Markham of Winter Haven, FL; grandchildren: Richard G. Willis, Troy A. Markham, Randall G. Markham; granddaughter-in-law: Heather B. Markham; great-grandchildren: Scott G. Willis, Haidyn Markham, Blayne Markham, Marina Markham and Ethan Markham along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Martha Jean will be conducted on Sunday October 4, 2015 at 2 P.M. in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Fred O. Gaylard, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Saturday evening October 3, 2015 in the chapel of the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations please be made to the Haven Hospice, 6037 W US Highway 90 Lake City, FL 32055 or to the First Advent Christian Church, 1881 Southwest McFarlane Avenue Lake City, FL. 32025. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home, 458 S. Marion Ave, Lake City, 32025.
