Billy J. Troglin, 51 of Kannapolis, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 at his residence with his family at his side. His death follows a period of declining health. Mr. Troglin was born in Fulton County Georgia on August 8, 1962.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Main Chapel officiated by Marlin Mogusu. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Troglin was formerly employed at the Exxon service station in Charlotte and most recently by G. & S. Metal of Kannapolis. He enjoyed working in his yard and NASCAR.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife; Tonda Brown Troglin of the home, his mother; Faye Elizabeth Jones Troglin Cain and Step-father Bobby J. Cain Sr. of Kannapolis, daughter; Krista Troglin and fiancé Jason Brown Sr. of Kannapolis, a son Billy J. Troglin III of Kannapolis, grandchildren; Jason Brown Jr. and Reese Brown, sisters; Kathy Turner and husband Christopher if Indian Trail, and Betty Brown and husband Larry of Sherrill’s Ford, brother; Alton Troglin and wife Pamela of Mooresville, and a half- brother; Bobby J. Cain Jr. and wife Penni of Kannapolis and several nieces and nephews.

Tonda Brown Troglin 55, of Kannapolis passed away on Monday June 30, 2014 at CMC-NorthEast. Her death follows a brief illness. Tonda was born in Mecklenburg County on November 4, 1958 a daughter of the late Harold Leon and Carolyn Jean Smith Brown. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Troglin Jr. who passed away October 28, 2013, and a brother, Timothy Brown.
A memorial service to celebrate Tondas life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Main Chapel with Marlin Mogusu officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the services.
Tonda was formerly employed as a paralegal and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by daughters; Krista Troglin and fiancé Jason Brown Sr. of the home, and Brittany Lynch of Kannapolis, a son Billy J. KANNAPOLIS -- Mr. Brown, 67, passed away on Monday. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive. Graveside funeral services in celebration of his life will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Salisbury National Cemetery with military rites.
Mr. Brown was born on October 13, 1936 in Hartsville, SC, son to the late Woodrow Wilson Brown and Ethel Wilkes Brown. His brother, Carroll Brown also preceded Harold in death. He was a machinist with Ronson Hydraulics before retiring. He served his country in the army serving in the 82nd airborne.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Carolyn Smith Brown, of the home; children, Tonda Brown Troglin and husband Billy, of Kannapolis, Tim Brown and wife Patricia, of Belmont, Carroll Brown and wife Janet, of Canton, NC, Lisa Brown Thomas and husband Roger, of Indian Trail, Sharon Brown Owens and husband Todd, of Charlotte, and Beth Brown, of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
