WILKES William A. Wilkes "Boggie" of Callahan passed away November 9, 2008 at his home. Boggie was born June 20, 1941 to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilkes. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Ed and Albert Wilkes and his son Sean Wilkes. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Sheila Wilkes, her children Larry Joslyn (Rhonda), Darlene Joslyn, grandchildren Keylan, Darla, Peyton Joslyn, Megan, Bubba and one great granddaughter Sarah. His daughter Christine Humphries (Jimmy), grandson Brandon, granddaughter Casey, sister Liz C. Seay. Boggie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all that knew him. He had a great number of friends that will remember his kindness and great sense of humor. He loved his heavenly father and was very dedicated to his church Old Kings Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends during the visitation hour (6pm to 8pm) on Tuesday, November the 11, 2008 at the Hardage Giddens Funeral Home on 729 South Edgewood Avenue, in Jacksonville. The Funeral service will be held at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home on Wednesday, November the 12, 2008 at 2pm. Interment services will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
