    Tasha's Story

    Tasha I. Marton-Camacho, age 51, of Stillwater, OK, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 and Thursday May 3, 2018 from 9:00AM-8:00PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK, with family greeting guests Thursday from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater. Rev. Brian OBrien will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A brief reception will follow interment at St. Francis church reception hall. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

    Tasha was born March 25, 1967 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Harry and Carol (Williams) Marton. She married Andrew Camacho on October 22, 1999 in San Diego, CA.

    Tasha attended Stillwater Public Schools, graduating from Stillwater High School in 1985. She then attended the University of Texas-Arlington and Oklahoma State University. She later became Vice President and Office Manager at Harry Marton Realtors, LLC and served in that capacity until her passing.

    Tasha will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile and uncanny ability to always see the best attributes of everyone she met.

    She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Marton.

    She is survived by her husband, Andrew; children, Nicholas Camacho of Stillwater, OK, and Rebecca Clements and husband Ethan of Panama City, FL; one grandchild, Birdie Clements of Panama City, FL; father, Harry P. and Vicki Marton of Stillwater, OK; father-in-law, Albert C. Camacho of McLean, VA; three sisters, Shaun Marton- Hickey and husband Steve of Stillwater, OK, Layne Marton-Genzel and husband Rodney of Stillwater, OK, and Brooke Marton of Bethany, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

    Carol Williams Marton

    Carol Williams Marton was born on December 11, 1942 in Lake City, FL to John Paul and Grace (Mikell) Williams. She grew up in Lake City, FL graduating from Columbia High School. She attended Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. One of Carol's greatest joys, aside from her family, was her involvement with LifeChurch.TV.

    She was a devoted friend to many and a loving mother and grandmother to her family. Carol passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009 surrounded by her loving family and friends, following a lengthy illness. At the time of her passing, she was the manager of Yorktowne Apartments in Stillwater, OK, following various positions held in Oklahoma, Nevada, and Texas.

    Carol Williams Marton was preceded in death by her father, John Paul Williams, and is survived by her mother, Grace Williams, of Cromwell, OK and two brothers, John Paul Williams, Jr. of Cochran, GA and Rex Williams of Moore, OK. She is also survived by her three daughters, Shaun Marton Garcia of Las Vegas, NV and her husband, Ramon, and grandsons Brandon, Bronson, Brock, and Bryce; Tasha Marton Camacho of Stillwater, OK and husband, Andrew and grandson, Nicholas; and Layne Marton Genzel of Stillwater, OK and husband, Rodney and granddaughters Ashlee, Haylee, and Harlee. In addition, Carol is survived by countless friends and extended family members who all mourn her passing.

    Funeral services for Carol Williams Marton are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2009 at LifeChurch.TV with Pastor G.T. Moody officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

    Alex Marton, Jr.
    Mr. Alex Marton, Papa Marton, 93, of Lake City, died peacefully Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family.

    A native of Fairfield, Connecticut, Mr. Marton had been a resident of Columbia County since 1937 having moved here from Green Cove Springs, Florida. Mr. Marton was the fourth of eleven children born to the late Alex & Julia Varga Marton, who were immigrants from Hungary.

    Mr. Marton worked with the Civilian Conservation Corp., that was established by Pres. Roosevelt, for several years. He worked with them plowing fire lines which eventually led him to a job with the State of Florida Division of Forestry. He worked with the Division of Forestry for thirty-nine years retiring in 1976 as a Fire Control Coordinator over Columbia, Suwannee, Hamilton, Union, Taylor and Lafayette counties. Following his retirement Mr. Marton remained active traveling to Hungary to meet relatives, and volunteering at the Lake City Medical Center for many years. He was very active in his church activities and served as the ward clerk of the church for many years. He very much enjoyed square dancing and tending to his yard and his garden. Mr. Marton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1st Ward. He will forever be remembered as a fun loving prankster who loved all children and was a very family oriented man.

    Mr. Marton is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Margurette Milton Marton; two sons, Gerald A. Marton(Lydia), Fort Worth, Texas; and Harry P. Marton of Stillwater, Oklahoma, two brothers, Julius Marton, Waterford, Connecticut and Robert "Bob" Marton(Betty) of Central Point, Oregon; a sister, Carolyn Marton of Green Cove Springs, Florida; and two sisters-in-law, Marie Wheeler of Lake City and Jackie Criswell ("Wink") of Orange Park, Florida. Eight grandchildren and ten great grand-children also survive. Numerous nephews and nieces and other family members, including his loving and devoted caregivers, his nephew Joseph Parrish and his niece Debra Parrish Dees also survive.

    Funeral services for Mr. Marton will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, November 4, 2006, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Old Country Club Road) with Bishop Mark Duren officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley, (Children’s Programs) 618 S.W. Florida Gateway Dr., Lake City, FL 32024.

    Mrs. Margurette Milton Marton, 89, of Lake City, passed away peacefully Monday morning at her residence surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Columbia County, Mrs. Marton was the daughter of the late Gus W. & Laura Waldron Milton. Mrs. Marton was educated in the Columbia County School system and was a member of the 1938 graduating class of Columbia High School. Mrs. Marton owned and operated Margurette’s Beauty Shop for over forty years. Following her retirement she volunteered at the Lake City Medical Center for many years. Mrs. Marton and her husband spent many fun filled years square dancing as members of the Lake City Squares and serving as chaperones at the Lake City Teen Town. She was a member of the Seniors United, the Epsilon Phi Sorority and was an active member of the church Relief Society until her ill health. Mrs. Marton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Lake City First Ward. In her spare time Mrs. Marton enjoyed tending to her flower garden, crocheting, and was a talented seamstress. Mrs. Marton was preceded in death in November of 2006 by her beloved husband of sixty-nine years, Alex Marton.

    Mrs. Marton is survived by two sons, Gerald A. Marton (Lydia), Fort Worth, Texas; and Harry P. Marton of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two sisters, Marie Wheeler of Lake City and Jackie Criswell ("Wink") of Orange Park, Florida; her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her loving and devoted "G-Babies" and caregivers, Joseph
    "Jo-Jo" Parrish, Summer Parrish and Debra Parrish Dees, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and adored dog “Lillie” also survive.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Marton will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 9, 2007, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (located on Old Country Club Road) with Bishop Mark Duren presiding. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
