Giger Marvin Faulk CHESTER -- Mr. Faulk, 89, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Chester Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be 3:00 PM Friday, June 8, 2007 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Faulk was born in Fairmont, North Carolina a son of the late John Boyce and Sallie Faulk. He was a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service for twenty-three years and retired from the S.C. Department of Transportation after a number of years service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was a member of the AGOGA Sunday School Class. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and a graduate of Fairmont High School, Fairmont, NC.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 64 years, Louise Wilkes Faulk is one son, Wilkes Faulk and his wife, Sherrie, of Rock Hill, SC; one daughter, Joan Faulk Horton and her husband, Max, of Walhalla, SC; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Wilkes Faulk and his wife, Ashley, of Longs, SC and Katy Faulk Matarese and her husband, Michael, of Rock Hill, SC; one sister-in-law, Maurice Wilkes Ott of Fairfax, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 PM Friday at First Baptist Church Social Hall.

CHESTER -- Mrs. Louise Wilkes Faulk, 91, formerly of Hillcrest Drive, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at Westminster Health Center in Rock Hill, S.C.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan.12, 2008, at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clay Waldrip and Dr. Bob McCollum officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Faulk was born Sept. 17, 1916, in Leeds, S.C., and lived in Chester County all of her life. She was the daughter of the late John Cornelia and Daisy Viola Allen Wilkes. She was a member of First Baptist Church Chester. She had formerly worked at Thomas and Howard, Department of Social Services, and was retired from Chester County Hospital.

Mrs. Faulk was the widow of Giger "Guy" Faulk. Surviving are one son, Wilkes Faulk and his wife, Sherrie of Rock Hill, S.C.; one daughter, Joan Faulk Horton and her husband, Max of Wallhala, S.C.; two grandchildren, Benjamin Wilkes Faulk and his wife, Ashley of Longs, S.C., and Katy Faulk Matarese and her husband, Michael of Rock Hill, S.C.; one sister, Maurice Wilkes Ott of Fairfax, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the foyer of First Baptist Church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
