    Lodell Palma, 70, of Ft. White, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born in Miami, Florida, the daughter of the late David and MamieL [Wheeler] Register and had lived here in Columbia County for the past 34 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother who enjoyed sewing, was an active member of the Ft. White Elementary PTO, and a founding member of the Lake City Animal Shelter in 1979. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Carrol Register and great grandson Jayden Acosta.

    Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Thomas Palma; daughter, Kay (Braulio) Peruyero; and sister, Lovetta Hoard all of Ft. White, FL; grandchildren, Caitlin Acosta and Courtney Peruyero; and great grand daughter, Alyssa Acosta.

    Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday; November 29, 2013, in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Chaplain Janice Kirk officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in honor of Mrs. Palma, to the Lake City Humane Society, 1392 NW Shelter Glen, Lake City, FL 32055 or to the Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice) 6037 U.S. Hwy 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055.
