ROCKLEDGE --- Services for J.W. Wilkes will be at 11 a.m. today in Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilkes, 83, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001. The son of the late Wallace and Mamie H. Wilkes, he was a retired farmer and member of Minter Baptist Church. He was the widower of Davie Lee Wilkes.
Survivors include his son James David Wilkes of Dublin; sister Mrs. W.T. Spivey of Rockledge; grandchildren Kelda W. Mallette and Kristen Wilkes, both of Atlanta; and great-granddaughter Julianna Mallette of Atlanta.
Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin has charge of arrangements.
