Dixie Elizabeth Russell, 91, of Candler, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late John and Annie Lee Miller Courtney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Russell, and by her sister, Johnnie Lee VanHook.
Mrs. Russell retired from American Enka. She was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her son, Donald C. Russell; and by her niece, JoAnn McElrath.
Services will be private.
