    HISTORY: Mr. Wilks was born October 7, 1939 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Jesse and Pauline Stroud Wilks. He was a retired employee of Highland Industries and attended Wilkes Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Wilks loved the Lord, and enjoyed spending time with his family. His favorite pastimes was playing the guitar and fishing. In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Anne Lear Wilks; 1 son, Robert J. Wilkes, Jr.; 2 brothers, Ernest and Alvy Wilks; and 1 sister, Mary Wilks.

    SURVIVORS:
    2 Sons: Harvey Eugene (Barbara) Wilkes of Hartsville, SC, and James Thomas Wilkes of Florence, SC
    2 Daughters: Diane Wilkes Lee, and Nancy Wilkes (Douglas) Robertson both of Hartsville, SC
    7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren

    Funeral services for Frank Wilks age 70 will be held Friday at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Brandon Ard will officiate, with burial in the Middendorf Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Wilks passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. He was born in Chesterfield County the son of the late Jessie A. and Pauline Stroud Wilks. He was a member of Middendorf Church of God. He was previously employed for 19 years with Morrison Oil company and worked with Tommy’s Machine Shop in Patrick for 8 years. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Diane Gainey Wilks, Hartsville; grandson, Cody Wilks, Hartsville; sisters, Nancy Melton and Helen Johnson, both of Hartsville; brother, Jimmy Wilks, Hartsville.     WALLACE, NAOMI WILKES, November 27, 1930 - December 18, 2010. Naomi was born in Patrick, SC; the daughter of John Franklin Wilkes and Bernice Stroud Wilkes; married Francis Marion Wallace, who was her true love, in 1949, and they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on Dec. 3, 2010.

    Naomi was very active in her community and she and her family lived in Astatula, FL for 30 years before moving to Lake Mary, FL. Naomi enjoyed her career as Postmaster with the US Postal Service, her last appointed office being Lake Mary, FL on March 1, 1983; after 25 years of service, she retired in 1990.

    She is survived by her husband Francis Marion Wallace; four children, John and Virginia Wallace Stoner, Roger and Frances Wallace Morgan, John and Seleta Wallace, and Karol Wallace; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly, and one brother, Donald Wilkes.

    She was preceded in death by four brothers; John Wilkes Jr., Herbert Wilkes, Richard Wilkes, and Harry Wilkes.

    Sherrie Lynn Johnson Cassidy CHESTERFIELD -- Mrs. Sherrie Lynn Johnson Cassidy, age 55, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandma and friend to all, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family singing and praising God after an almost 15 year battle with breast cancer.

    Celebration of Life Service was held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.

    Interment followed in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens.

    Visitation was held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 10, 2014 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Cassidy was born January 23, 1959 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of Helen Johnson and the late John G. Johnson.

    Sherrie was an inspiration to all who knew her. She dearly loved her family and especially loved celebrating Christmas each year with her grandbabies. Sherrie was a faithful member of Forest Pine Church. Through Facebook, Sherrie encouraged, prayed for, and loved all she knew. She was truly the Biblical description of a virtuous woman and she will be remembered for her daily devotions as well as her favorite Bible verse which she posted religiously, "This is the day the LORD has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."

    Kenny and Sherrie recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal service. She loved her husband with all of her heart. She enjoyed camping, praising and worshipping her LORD and Savior and spending afternoons around the campfire with some of her closest friends, Ann and Gene Stromberg. She will be sorely missed by all, especially by her family who loved and cared for her during the final days of her life including her mother, Helen Johnson; her sisters, Becky "Bird" Phipps and Denise Gilbert; her children and husband along with her son-in-law, Bruce and future son-in-law, Olin.
