Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the Langdale Hospice House.
He was born on October 31, 1924 in Naylor, GA to the late John & Ruth (Tyler) Wilkes. Mr. Wilkes served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wilkes and a daughter, Catherine Geddings.

Kathryn W. Yancey, 88, of Lakeland passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in the Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center.
She was born August 15, 1931 in Naylor, Georgia to the late John A and Ruth Wilkes. She was a member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church and served as the church pianist for over 50 years. She was married to the late Gilbert David “Sam” Yancey, Sr. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers John A. Wilkes, Jr. and Jimmy M. Wilkes. She was the owner of the Lanier County Freezer Locker.

Catherine "Cathy" Geddings- 53
Of Naylor, GA passed away Thursday December 19, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta following an unexpected illness.
She was born April 13, 1960 in Palatka, FL to John A. Wilkes and the late Mary Elizabeth Williams Wilkes. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by an infant brother John Andy Wilkes.
She was a member of the Pleasant Way Baptist Church in Lowndes County. She Graduated from Valdosta State University, then received her master's degree from Nova Southeastern University. She changed lives of many young people by being a teacher with the Valdosta City School System, where she taught high school 20 years. She also loved quilting and was a member of the Withlacoochee Quilt Guild. She had a love of animals, especially cats. Her big heart and sweet and giving spirit continued after her death by being an organ donor.
