    Alton Brian Christie was the first child of Alton P. and Eileen Christie.He was born prematurely at 6 1/2 months. He was born in the Lake Shore Hospital in Lake City, Columbia, Florida and immediately transferred to the University Hospital in Jacksonville, Duval, Florida due to complications. Brian had to have surgery to connect his duodenum to his stomach and did not recover from the surgery. His body was interred in the Hopewell Cemetery, in Northern Columbia County, FL. His parents never got to hold him and love him as he was gone from this life so shortly after arriving here. We can only imagine what could have been.

    Automobile Accident

    David Christie died as the result of an automobile accident at the intersection of CR 16 and SR 121 in Union County, Florida. He was struck on the driver's side of the 1996 Honda Civic he was driving by a Semi Truck hauling rocks. He reportedly died instantly at the scene. At the time of his death he was employeed as a Correctional Officer at New River Correctional Institution.
